Pacifism

Pacifism is defined as the opposition to war or violence as a means of settling disputes or gaining advantage.



We should all be pacifists, ultimately. 

If your country is being attacked, then you may not be a pacifist and you would have a reason to oppose the attackers. You react. But you do not blow up innocent passers-by in a vain attempt at making a political statement, as is happening in Iraq and Afghanistan.
