David J. Hartman

U.S. Army Staff Sgt. David Hartman, age 27, was killed on February 3, 2010, in Timagara, Pakistan, from wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with an explosive device.

He was assigned as a civil affairs noncommissioned officer for Team 622 in Company B, 96th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne), 95th Civil Affairs Brigade, Fort Bragg, N.C. 

David Hartman grew up in California and went to high school in Japan; he never lived in Wisconsin but visited his mother in Pardeeville, Wisconsin about every six months.

He had been married for almost four years to Cherise Sabio Hartman. Their son is a little more than 1 year old, and their second child is due in July.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that David Hartman is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
