British Trooper Ashley Smith, age 21, of the Royal Dragoon Guards, was killed in an explosion on June 18, 2010, while protecting a patrol that was conducting a clearance operation in the Nahr-e Saraj district of Helmand Province, Afghanistan. He was from York, England.
He had volunteered to join a patrol in an area known to be full of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Ashley Smith is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
