Rob Nichols - U.S. Military

Spc. Rob L. Nichols, age 24, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, died on July 23, 2013, in Soltan Kheyl, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.

He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Rob was a 2007 graduate of Sand Creek High School.

He was known as Robbie to many of his friends.

Friends said he liked dirt biking and camping.

He was popular and never hurt anybody.  He lived it up and wanted to make people laugh.

Still others describe him as funny, energetic and charming.  He always had a smile on
Angels of God, pray for Rob
his face.

He will be greatly missed.

Rob is survived by many loving friends and relatives.

Thank you for serving, Rob.

Pray without ceasing unto God for an end to this war in Afghanistan. It is enough. We are sick with grief for men like Rob.

Pray that Rob is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
