Habib was working at the store. He was found by the Police just before midnight. He had been shot in the head during a robbery attempt.

Habib was well known in the neighbourhood and had been working at the gas station/food store for more than 17 years. He was originally from Iran.
Habib was well liked and is described as a good guy who was helpful to others.
He is described as kind, hardworking and considerate.
He was known to give free slushies to kids.
One man said that when he was a teenager he tried to steal some beer from the store.

Our hearts are heavy on this sad, sad day as we say to goodbye to our friend Habib Hajimirzaei! Habib wasn't just a clerk at some convenience store, he was our friend. We would just stop in to say hello to him and to see his smiling face. He always treated others with kindness and the loss is overwhelming because I can't imagine why anyone would want to hurt this sweet man!
This is a senseless crime, as I'm sure that poor Habib offered to give this disgusting thief anything they wanted, that was just the way he was. I hope this crime gets solved quickly and the person or persons responsible for this are brought to justice!
Rest in peace our Dear, Dear friend! We love you and will think of you often! I know you were greeted into Heaven with open arms from Jesus himself! You were a wonderful man!
