Robert Pierce - U.S. Military

Spc. Robert A. Pierce, age 20, of Panama, Oklahoma, died on June 3, 2013, in Tsamkani, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his unit was attacked by a suicide vehicle-borne improvised explosive device.

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Robert joined the Military in April of 2011 and served in Korea before arriving at Fort Campbell in August of 2012.

His awards include a National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and an Overseas Service Ribbon.

His loved ones are greatly grieving his loss. 

Robert is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his mother Lonnetta Dart; his father, Randy Pierce; and his spouse, Christian Pierce.

Thank you for serving, Robert.

Pray for the 20 year olds who die in War. Yesterday, they were just boys. Amen.

Pray without ceasing unto God for an end to this war in Afghanistan. It is enough. We are sick with grief for men like Robert.

Pray that Robert is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
