Melissa Ochoa - a Good Samaritan killed in Texas

Melissa Ochoa, age 44, of Von Ormy, Texas, died on June 3, 2013, on a highway in San Antonio, Texas.

Melissa was a delivery driver for a local bakery. She had been delivering for them for 11 years. She was out on deliveries at the time of her death.

At about 4:00 a.m., she came across a wreck where Interstate 35 North and Interstate 10 West merge.

A driver had lost control after hitting a wheel that was in the road and had crashed into a concrete barrier.

Melissa stopped to help. She was attempting to direct traffic around the crash site.

Eric Mogg, age 52, did not see Melissa at this point and crashed into her. It seems that charges will not be placed against Eric Mogg because drugs and alcohol have not been determined to be factors in this accident.

Only God knows why these tragic accidents happen.

Family members said that Melissa and her husband, Ben, often stopped to help strangers at accidents when they could.

Family members said that Melissa did good for others. She was just that type of

woman.

She is described as a caring and loving mother to her children.

Melissa is survived by many loving friends and relatives including her husband, Ben; and their six children.

Pray for the Good Samaritans who come to the aid of strangers. They are the true heroes in this world. Amen.

Pray that Melissa is in heaven. Pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
