Kevin Cardoza - U.S. Military

Spc. Kevin Cardoza, age 19, of Mercedes, Texas, died on May 4, 2013, while on patrol in the Maiwand District in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan.

Kevin and four other soldiers died when their vehicle stuck a roadside bomb.

He was with the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas.

Kevin graduated from Edcouch-Elsa High School in 2011.

Kevin is survived by many loving friends and relatives, including his fiancee and two children.

Thank you for serving, Kevin. 

Pray for the 19 year olds who die in combat.  Yesterday, they were just boys. Amen.

Let us pray that Kevin is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
