Brandon Landrum - U.S. Military

1st Lt. Brandon James Landrum, age 26, of Lawton, Oklahoma, died on May 4, 2013, while on patrol in the Maiwand District in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan.

Brandon and four other soldiers died when their vehicle stuck a roadside bomb.

He was with the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas.

Brandon's family and friends deeply grieve his loss. Friends describe him as a good man, a good friend, a good husband and father. He is also described as brave, honourable and a hard worker.  He was fun and adventurous and had a sense of humour.

Others describe Brandon as a man of faith, as a loving husband and a man who had a basic goodness and strength in him that others admired. 

Brandon is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents; his wife Miranda; and his boys, Gabriel and Blakely.
