Steven Blass

Sgt. Steve Blass, age 27, died in the line of duty on March 11, 2013, near Kandahar City, Afghanistan.

He died as a result of a helicopter crash in a non-combat situation.

Steve was based out of Fort Stewart, Georgia. He joined the Army’s 101st Airborne Division a few years after high school and served during multiple tours overseas. He had hoped to train as a pilot.

Friends said that Steve really loved his job and loved helicopters.

Steve is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife and young son.
