Casey Holmes

Casey Holmes, age 20, died in the line of duty on March 10, 2013, during a training exercise Monday at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, California.

He was killed in a bulldozer accident.

The U.S.A. Military states that: These types of training exercises are “decidedly kinetic in nature” and include infantry, vehicles, aircraft and sometimes the use of live ammunition.

This statement by the military may need "re-examination". It sounds as if someone is not taking responsibility for this tragic error.

Casey was a 2011 graduate of Chico High School, where he was a standout swimmer.

Casey enlisted in the Marine Corps in May of 2012 and joined the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in October of 2012.

His personal decorations include the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

Casey was trained as a rifleman but hadn't as yet been deployed overseas.
Father, place Casey on the road
to Heaven.

Casey is survived by many loving friends and relatives.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and gone the next. Amen.

Thank you for serving, Casey.

Let us pray that Casey is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
