The three individuals who committed this armed robbery were arrested by HPD within 3 days. The alleged shooter and getaway driver were the first two to be arrested, which led to the getaway driver being taken into custody shortly thereafter.
The person who pulled the trigger was convicted and found guilty of capital murder and was sentenced to life without parole.
The slain store owner was at his place of business at the time with his fiance, a female customer and her three children who were all forced to lie on the floor by the armed robbers. What in part prompted Hamid to push the store alarm was the fact that the lookout person was encouraging the other robber with the gun to start shooting because they wanted more items to steal.
