Kevin Bowden - Law Enforcement - Maryland

Police Officer Kevin Bowden, age 28, died on October 18, 2012, in Clinton, Maryland.

Kevin was a member of the Prince George's County Police Department, Maryland.  He had 6 years of service in District 4. 

Kevin was off duty and was driving his marked cruiser around 3:00 p.m., when he collided with a SUV, forcing the cruiser car into a utility pole.  Officer Bowden was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

It is expected that the driver of the SUV will be charged with causing the collision. 

Sadly Kevin was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Kevin was born and raised in Cinton and was a graduate of Surrattsville High School. He was a six-year veteran of District 4

Police Officials stated that Kevin was loved by his community and his department. 

Friends stated that Kevin had a sense of humor and an infectious smile.  He is also described as a big man with a kind heart.  

Kevin is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife and two children, ages 11 and 5.

Pray for all who die young and suddenly. Amen.
