Sean Brazas

Petty Officer 2nd Class Sean E. Brazas, age 26, of Greensboro, North Carolina, died on May 30, 2012, while conducting combat operations in Panjwa’l, Afghanistan.

He was assigned to Naval Base Kitsap Security Detachment in Bremerton, Washington. Sean was shot while trying to help someone get into a helicopter.

He was a K-9 dog handler.

Sean graduated from Western Guilford High School.

Military officials describe him as a splendid young man whose death is greatly regretted. 

Family members said that they devastated by Sean's death. Sean's wife, Allie, stated that her husband died doing what he loved, that he is her hero and that he will never be forgotten. 

Friends said that he lifted the spirits of those around him. 

Sean is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his father, Ed Brazas, his mother and sister; his wife, Allie and their 13 month old daughter.

Let us pray that Sean Brazas is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
