Dwayne was a member of the Bladen County Sheriff's Office. He had 1 year of service with the Department and 4 years of prior service with the Elizabethtown Police Department.

Dwayne was killed in a vehicle collision while responding to an assault in-progress call.
Dwayne is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife and two children.
Pray for all who die in the line of duty.
Let us pray that Dwayne Hester is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.

Dwayne was a wonderful officer of the law, friend, brother, son, husband and father. He will be missed dearly & remembered for his services, dedication and compassion. RIP Dwayne!!
