Jacob Schwallie

Sgt. Jacob M. Schwallie, age 22, of Clarksville, Tennessee, died on May 7, 2012, in Ghazni province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. 

He was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

He was known as Jake to his friends. 

He was a 2007 graduate of Rossview High School in Clarksville. Jacob had served in the Army since October of 2008. He had served one previous tour in Iraq. 

Jacob is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents, Thomas and Melinda Schwallie; his sister Rachel Schwallie; and grandmothers, Etta Schwallie Roach and Bettye Pyron.

Let us pray that Jacob Schwallie is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
