Thomas Ratzlaff

Thomas Ratzlaff, age 34, of Green Forest, Arkansas, was killed on August 6, 2011, in the Tangi Valley of Wardak Province, Afghanistan, when a U.S. helicopter crashed.

He was a Navy Seal.

Family members stated that it was his childhood dream to serve his country. Tommy joined the Navy in 1995 out of high school. A year later he was in SEAL training.

Thomas Ratzlaff leaves behind many loving relatives and friends including his wife, two sons, ages 11 and 6, and a child on the way, a baby girl due in November.

It is tragic that this unborn child will never know her father. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Thomas Ratzlaff is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
