Kisan Bahadur Thapa


French Foreign Legionnaire Kisan Bahadur Thapa, age 30, was killed on August 7, 2011, in Kapisa, Afghanistan, when attacked by an insurgent group. 

Kisan Bahadur Thapa joined the Foreign Legion in March of 2008.

Military officials describe him as totally devoted to the service of France, as thorough, and as calm in the face of adversity.

During his three years of service, he made a short mission to New Caledonia in 2009 and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2010.

He was awarded the bronze medal of National Defence with staples "Foreign Legion" and "Mission of external assistance," the French commemorative medal with clasp "Afghanistan" and the NATO Medal "no item 5 ".

He was the married father of a little boy.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Kisan Bahadur Thapa is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
