Gil I. Morales Del Valle

Pfc. Gil I. Morales Del Valle, age 21, of Jacksonville, Florida, was killed on August 3, 2011, in Wardak province, Afghanistan, of injuries suffered when enemy forces attacked his vehicle with an improvised explosive device. 

He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Gil arrived at Fort Polk,Louisiana in June 2010. He deployed with his unit in October 2010 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

He is the recipient of numerous awards and decorations. 

Gil is survived by his father, mother and stepfather.

Pray for the 21 year olds, who barely had a chance at life. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Gil I. Morales Del Valle is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
