| Jesus, pray for Thomas |
French soldiers, local leaders and tribal elders had gathered to discuss potential road projects, new dams, bridges and other development projects that are important elements of the military’s attempts to build goodwill among Afghans and restore the country’s shattered infrastructure, when a suicide bomber walked up and detonated his explosives.
Thomas was born in Caen. He joined the French Army in September 2005.
Military officials describe him as extremely bright, passionate about his career and engaging. He is also described as mature and intelligent.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Thomas Gauvin is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
