James W. Harvey II

Sgt. James W. Harvey II, age 23, of Toms River, New Jersey, died on June 20, 2011, in Ghazni province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with small arms fire. 

Pray that Jimmy is on the
stairway to Heaven

He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Knox, Kentucky. He enlisted in January of 2009. 

Family members describe James as determined and a natural at anything he set out to do and that he truly enjoyed being in the Army. Friends said that he was a prankster and was good at everything he did. 

Jimmy is survived by numerous loving relatives and friends including his father James S. Harvey, mother Susan and three sisters. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that James W. Harvey II is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
