Florian Morillon

French Parachutist Florian Morillon, age 21, of Grenoble, France, was killed on June 18, 2011, as the result of hostile fire in Kapisa, Afghanistan. The paratroopers were conducting a foot patrol in the area when they were attacked.

He was attached to Premier RĂ©giment de Chasseurs Parachutistes.

Florian was unmarried. He had been enlisted in the French military for 3 years.

Saint Joan of Arc, pray
for Florian
Florian had served previously in Gabon and in the Central African Republic before going to Afghanistan.

Military officials described him as having good qualities as a soldier for France.

His professionalism will be rewarded, as he will be posthumously awarded the Medal with Overseas clasp "Central African Republic" and the bronze medal of National Defence Button "airborne".

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Florian Morillon is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
