Jason A. Rogers

Staff Sgt. Jason A. Rogers, age 28, of Brandon, Miss., died April 7, 2011, while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. 

Father, put Jason on the
stairway to Heaven

He was assigned to 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Friends remember Jason for his charismatic personality, his devotion to his wife and his patriotism. Other officials described Jason as a highly decorated Marine and a young man of strong character and commitment to his country. Another said that Jason was selfless when it came to others. If he didn't have a dime, he'd give you his last nickel.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Jason A. Rogers is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
