Zachary Cuddeback

Airman First Class Zachary Ryan Cuddeback, age 21, died as a result of the March 2, 2011, shooting at the Frankfurt Airport, Germany, when a Muslim extremist from Albania opened fire on a busload of American soldiers. 

Zachary Cuddeback, from Stanardsville, Virginia, was in the 86th Vehicle Readiness Squadron at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany.

His parents described him as "an Army brat" who graduated from William Monroe High School in Stanardsville and played hockey at Old Dominion University. Zachary joined the Air Force in 2009.

Family members stated that "Zac always had a smile on his face for everyone, but had no closer friend than his brother Tim. Zac will be remembered by his family and friends as an automobile enthusiast and for his love of the game of hockey. His mother, De Loyet, father, Bob Cuddeback, and brother and best friend, Tim Cuddeback, will miss him sorely."

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Zachary Cuddeback is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
