Sgt. Robert C. Sisson Jr., age 29, of Aliquippa, Pa., died Feb. 21, 2011, in Kandahar district, Afghanistan, in a non-combat related incident.
He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo.Sgt. Sisson joined the Army in September 2004 and was deployed to Iraq in March 2008 for a full year. He had been in Afghanistan since July 15.
Sgt. Sisson received a dozen awards during his service, including two Army Commendation Medals, two Army Achievement Medals, a National Defense Service Medal and an Iraq Campaign Medal with a Campaign Star.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Robert C. Sisson Jr. is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
