Giorgi Avaliani

Georgian armed forces member, Corporal Giorgi Avaliani, was killed in Afghanistan on February 22, 2011, due to a land mine blast.

Giorgi Avaliani was serving in the 32nd Battalion in the province of Helmand within the ISAF peacekeeping mission. The corporal had been enrolled in the armed forces since 2008. 

During his service, he was awarded with the Service Medal for Combat Wounds.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Giorgi Avaliani is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
