Johnathan Dunbar |
Master Sgt. Dunbar was assigned to Headquarters, U.S. Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Tragically, Johnathan was mortally wounded and succumbed to his injuries.
Tragically, UK Sergeant Matt Tonroe was also killed in the explosion.
The incident is under investigation.
Johnathan was serving in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, which is the U.S. Military operation against ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
Johnathan was born in International Falls, Minnesota, and graduated in 1999 from John B. Connally High School in Austin, Texas.
He first entered the United States Army as an Infantryman in May of 2005.
He had previously served deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq.

Angels of God, pray for Johnathan and for those who have lost him. |
Johnathan's military comrades are in mourning over the death of their brother. He died in the service of America. He will be forever remembered.
Johnathan's loved ones are devastated by his sudden and tragic death. He did his best. He was loved. He will be forever mourned.
Oceans of tears have been shed for Johnathan.
Johnathan is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members who will forever miss him.

Pray for all who die in a foreign land, far from their loved ones.
Pray that Johnathan is in Heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
