Anthony Victor Pineda, age 25, of Rowland Heights, California, died on February 16, 2015, at a marijuana dispensing store in San Bernardino, California.

The store is in a small strip-mall.

Anthony was called Tony by many of his friends and relatives.

At about 10:00 p.m., Anthony was working as a security guard at the store when he was shot and killed by two armed men who were robbing the place. Anthony may have wounded one of the robbers in an exchange of gunfire.

Marijuana dispensing stores are illegal in San Bernardino. The staff members who work at the store have refused to help the Police with any information. The police had to break down the doors to even get into the place where they found Anthony Pineda deceased. The store's owners had to be forced by court order to provide the videotapes of the confrontation.

ocean lifeguard for Huntington Beach. It was reported that during his time as a lifeguard he had saved several lives. He loved water polo and promoted the sport on the Internet. He was scheduled to work as a security guard at the upcoming 2015 Academy Awards ceremony.

Friends stated that Anthony had a love of people and a zest for life. He was pleasant and energetic. He was articulate, intelligent and ambitious. He was respectful and hard-working. He had plans for the future.

Anthony's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He will be forever mourned.

Anthony is survived by many loving friends and family members who will forever miss him.
