Eddie was a member of the Alton Police Department. He had nine years of service.

Eddie was travelling in his patrol car to a house fire in Royal Oak, which is about 5 or 6 miles west of Alton. His vehicle struck a driveway entrance and overturned several times. He was ejected from the vehicle. It is believed that Eddie was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.
Eddie also served as a reserve deputy for the Oregon County Sheriff's Office. He was also the fire chief of the Alton Volunteer Fire Department.
The Alton Police Department, the Oregon County Sheriff's Office and the Alton Volunteer Fire Department are in mourning over the sudden death of their brother,
Eddie. He will be forever remembered.
Eddie's loved ones are devastated over his tragic death. He will be forever mourned.
Eddie is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his wife and three children.
