Nicholas Burley - U.S. Military

Spc. Nicholas B. Burley, age 22, of Red Bluff, California, died on July 30, 2013, in Pul-E-Alam, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when enemy forces attacked his unit with indirect fire.

He was assigned to the 6th Squadron, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia.

He graduated from Red Bluff High in 2008.

He graduated from basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia, in 2011.

Nick is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents Tammy Olmstead and Mike Burley.

Thank you for serving, Nick.

Pray without ceasing unto God for an end to this war in Afghanistan. It is enough. We are sick with grief for men like Nick.

Pray that Nick is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
