Alice Gruppioni - victim of a hit and run murderer - Venice Beach, California

Alice and her husband, Christian
Alice Gruppioni, age 32, of Genoa, Italy, died on August 3, 2013, on the Boardwalk of Venice Beach, California.

At about 5:00 p.m., Nathan Campbell, age 38, got into a large black vehicle, swerved around a barrier to prevent vehicles from driving onto the Boardwalk and accelerated through a crowd of hundreds of people, hitting numerous pedestrians and bystanders.

He travelled about one quarter of a mile down the Boardwalk and the incident was over in minutes.

Witnesses stated that the driver deliberately and wildly drove into people. This was not an out of control vehicle.

Another person was critically injured. Two others were taken to hospitals in serious condition. Eight suffered less serious injuries.

in to the Police. He has been charged with murder and numerous assault and hit and run offences. It has been reported that he has a history of drug and alcohol abuse. He has been arrested in the past for reckless driving involving alcohol, shoplifting and disturbing the peace. He has previously spent 5 years in jail.

Alice Gruppioni was taken to a local hospital where tragically she passed away several hours later.

Alice Gruppioni had gotten married on July 20th and was on her honeymoon with her husband. She worked as a manager for her family's radiator manufacturing business in Italy.

Her husband, Christian Casadei, is devastated by Alice's death and is in shock. Her

Alice is survived by many loving friends and relatives including her father, Valerio Gruppioni and her husband, Christian Casadei.

Pray for justice for Alice.
