Giselle Ayala - died on Spring Break - Santa Barbara, California

Giselle Ayala, age 18, died on April 5 or 6, 2013, in Santa Barbara, California.

Giselle was found dead in the waters of Santa Barbara. She had attended a college party on the beach on the night of her death.

She was among the thousands of revelers who descended on the town of Isla Vista for a spring break party called, Deltopia.

Angels of God, pray for
Giselle
It is believed that she left her friends at the party around 11 pm in order to use the restroom. It is presumed that Giselle then stumbled over a cliff.

In 2009, two attendees at this spring break party were hospitalized after falling off a cliff and 33 others had to receive treatment for head injuries, alcohol poisoning and other injuries.

It may be in order for the organizers of this yearly event, to reconsider why they are holding it on a cliff face. You don't have any flat land in Santa Barbara?  You absolutely have to hold this party on a precipice?

Giselle had graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 2012. She was currently a freshman at Cal Poly Tech San Luis Obispo where she was a sociology major.

Friends describe Giselle as having contagious optimism. She made others feel welcome and cared for.

Family members describe Giselle as loving and loved. She is also described as an
amazing kid.  She will be forever missed.

Giselle is survived by many loving friends and relatives including her parents, Cat and Emiliano; and her sister, Nastassia.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and gone the next. Amen.

Let us pray that Giselle is in heaven. Let us pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
