Deidra Blackmon - murdered in Fort Worth, Texas

Deidra Blackmon
Deidra Blackmon, age 33, died on March 3, 2013, in Saginaw, Texas. Saginaw is a suburb of Fort Worth.

She was out with 2 girlfriends and made a stop at a convenience store in Saginaw at about 12 a.m. She was the sober and designated driver for this outing. She usually worked on Saturday nights but took the night off to help celebrate a friend's upcoming wedding.

Diedra went inside the store. While she was inside one of the women she was with vomited in the parking lot near another vehicle, later identified as belonging to Jeffrey Hansana, age 24.

Deidra left the store and was driving on a local street, within a mile of the store, and Jeffrey Hansana drove up on Diedra and her friends and fired several shots at her moving vehicle. Diedra was shot in the head and transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. She was pronounced dead a little after 1 a.m. Sunday.

Jeffrey Hansana and Heather Thompson
Jeffrey Hansana, with his girlfriend Heather Thompson in the vehicle, fled the scene. He was later apprehended and has been charged with murder. His girlfriend is charged with failure to report a felony.

Deidra was a Veterinarian and worked at an animal clinic in Grapevine. She graduated from Haltom High School, and earned her vet degree from Texas A & M University in 2010.

Deidra is described by colleagues as caring, compassionate, and driven in caring for animals, as well as those around her.

She grew up near Keller, Texas and was living in Justin, Texas, with her 3 cats, 3 dogs and a horse.

Colleagues also describe her as having a fun personality but very stern and focused about work. She was bright and had a sense of humour.

Angels of God, pray for Deidra.
Pray for justice for her.
Deidra is survived by many loving friends and relatives.

God help us. Now the freaks will kill us for throwing up near them.

God save us from the Lost Ones who stalk the Earth stealing away life. Amen.

Pray for justice for Deidra.

Let us pray that Deidra Blackmon is in heaven. Let us pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
