Cody Suggs

Spc. Cody D. Suggs, age 22, of West Alexandria, Ohio, died on March 7, 2013, at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, as a result of a non-combat incident.

The cause of his death is under investigation at this time. 

He was assigned to the 1487th Transportation Company (Piqua, Ohio), which is part of the 371st Sustainment Brigade (Springfield, Ohio). 

Cody worked as a truck driver with the company. 

Cody graduated from Twin Valley South School in West Alexandria.

He joined the Ohio National Guard in February of 2009. He was deployed to Afghanistan in November of 2012.  This was his first deployment. 

Members of the Guard are grieving over Cody's passing. 

Cody is survived by many loving friends and relatives, including his parents Brian and Wendy Suggs; and his sister.
