She was the girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs Linebacker Jovan Belcher, age 25.
Kasandra and Jovan had a 3 month old daughter together.
Jovan shot Kasandra several times during a domestic argument before 8:00 a.m. She was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Shortly thereafter, Jovan Belcher drove about eight kilometres to his football team's practise facility (Arrowhead Stadium), where he thanked general manager Scott Pioli and coach Romeo Crennel for all they’d done for him. He then fatally shot himself in the practice facility’s parking lot.
Friends stated that the young couple had relationship issues but that these issues didn't seem to be really bad, despite the fact that they had separated on at least one occasion before this.
Friends said that Kasandra was really happy about being a mom.
Family members describe Kasandra as an angel with a radiant smile, an infectious laugh and a loving heart. She will be forever missed.
Jovan is described as quiet, thoughtful, and a role model, who worked well with children.

Jovan may have worked well with children but he made his own daughter into an orphan at 3 months of age, because he killed her mother and then himself, her father. God save us.
Pray for Jovan's family, who have lost their son. Amen.
Kasandra is survived by many loving friends and relatives including her mother, and her daughter, Zoey.
God save us from those who say they love us, and who then kill us. Amen.
Let us pray that Kasandra Perkins is in heaven. Let us pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
