The cause of his death has not been released as of this posting.
Shane was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Shane was a 2011 graduate of Kuna High School.
His family stated that Shane wanted to be in the military from a very young age and was proud to be a soldier.

Family members describe Shane as humble, loyal, caring and compassionate. He put others before himself. They said that Shane will never be forgotten.
Shane is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his mother, father, two sisters, grandparents and great-grandparents.
Thank you for serving, Shane.
Pray for the 20 year olds who die in war. Yesterday, they were just boys. Amen
