They died when a tree fell on their car as they were returning from their horse farm in Long Valley to their home. It is believed that they were checking on the horse farm during the storms that resulted from Hurricane Sandy.
Richard was known as Rich to his friends. He was a senior vice president at Opthotech, a biotechnology research company in Princeton seeking ways to prevent visual loss by people over 50.
Pray for Rich and Beth. Pray for their children who have lost their parents. |
Elizabeth was known as Beth to her friends. She worked as a senior management consultant at Carter McKenzie Select, which provides business consulting to the pharmaceutical industry. She was an active volunteer with Morris Habitat for Humanity and served on Hope Church’s “benevolence team,” helping make decisions on how to spend money to help the poor.
Elizabeth Everett had been volunteering for Habitat since she was in high school and during the past eight years at the Morris chapter, she had served as a two-time board member and was still a member of the policy committee.
Richard and Elizabeth are survived by many loving friends and relatives including their 4 children - Theo, age 14, Pierce, age 11; and daughters Zoe and Talia.
Theo and Pierce were with their parents when the tree fell on the car. Thank God, they were saved.
Pray for all who die suddenly and by misadventure. Amen.
Let us pray that Richard Everett is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
