Heather Carroll - murdered in California

Heather Carroll, age 25, died sometime after October 10, 2012, in Hollister, California. She was beaten and strangled.

Heather was reported as missing on that date. On October 11, 2012, her car was found torched.

On October 12, there was an 11-hour-long standoff at the home of David Quiroz. Heather's body was found inside the Quiroz residence. 

He has been arrested for murder and booked into San Benito County Jail.

It seems that Heather went to the home of David Quiroz on October 10, 2012, after dropping off her son at school. It has also been reported that Heather and David Quiroz had an argument on that date.

It is unclear exactly what the relationship between Heather and David Quiroz was. It is unclear if drugs or alcohol were involved. Friends said that the two were friends but that David Quiroz has an aggressive nature, is suicidal and is unpredictable. 

Friends of Heather have noted that David Quiroz participated in a search for her by concerned citizens, when he knew she was deceased in his house. 

Family members describe Heather as a wonderful person who will be forever missed. 

Friends describe her as loving, caring and fun to be around. 

Heather lived in Suquamish from 1993-2004 and attended North Kitsap High School.

Heather is survived by many loving friends and relatives including her father and mother, Mark and Mardi Beckwith; her sister, April Souza; her brother, Matthew Beckwith; her husband, Grady Carroll; and her son, Riley Adam Carroll.
