Antonio was a member of the Yonkers Fire Department - Ladder Company 74. He had 12 years of service.
He was engaged in on-duty training exercises on May 9, 2012, when he was injured. He later suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and had been hospitalized since July 18. He was taken off of life support on July 31st.
His passing is recognized as a line of duty death.

Fire Department officials stated that Antonio had participated in many life saving rescues during his career and that he will be greatly missed. He had received six departmental commendations.
He had graduated from Mount Saint Michael High School and Fordham University.
He was known as "Arod" or "Tony" to many of his friends.
Family members stated that he will be remembered for his sense of humor, his smile and his helpful nature.
Antonio is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents Celeste and Celestino Rodriques; his brother, Lester C. Rodriques; and his girlfriend, Amy Krawczyk.
Pray for all who die because of their jobs.
Let us pray that Antonio Rodriques is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
