Nathan Tyler Davis

Pfc. Nathan Tyler Davis, age 20, Yucaipa, California, died on June 9, 2012, in Tore Obeh, Afghanistan, of injuries suffered when his vehicle was attacked with an enemy improvised explosive device.

Tyler was assigned to the 1st Battalion (Airborne), 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.

He was known as "Tyler" to his family and friends. 

He graduated in 2010 from Green Valley High School.

Family members describe Tyler as an outgoing, personable man who had an amazing smile. He is also described as generous. Family members said that Tyler loved being a soldier.

Friends describe Tyler as hard-working, focused and mature for his age. 

Tyler is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents, Desiree and Kirk; and two brothers. 

Pray for the 20 year olds who die in combat. Yesterday, they were just boys. 

Let us pray that Nathan Tyler Davis is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
