Bryant Luxmore

Spc. Bryant J. Luxmore, age 25, of New Windsor, Illinois, died on June 10, 2012, in Panjwai, Afghanistan, of injuries suffered when he encountered enemy small arms fire.

Bryant was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Bryant graduated from Sherrard High School in 2005. He later attended Monmouth College. 

He had been in the Army for 14 months. This was his first deployment overseas. 

His awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart and Combat Infantryman Badge.

Friends describe him as a great kid and a great friend. 

Bryant is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents and his brother, Brock; his wife Jaimie Lee Luxmore and his stepson, Lane. 

Let us pray that Bryant Luxmore is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
