Jorge Luis Velasquez

Petty Officer Second Class Jorge Luis Velasquez, age 35, of Houston, Texas, died in May, 2012 as a result of a non-combat related incident in Manama, Bahrain.

Jorge was assigned to Commander, Task Force (CTF) 56 in Bahrain, which conducts maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.

It is believed that Jorge accidentally fell from a balcony to his death.

Jorge is survived by many loving friends and relatives, including his three sisters. He was predeceased by both of his parents. 

Pray for those who suffer death accidentally. Their deaths are no less tragic than those who die in combat.
