On May 25, 2012, at approximately 11:25 pm, her Chevrolet Tahoe patrol vehicle went out of control on a rain slicked highway curve and overturned several times after striking a guardrail. Trooper Anna was transported to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries at about 5:25 am the following morning.
Amanda grew up in Fair Haven, New York. She attended Hannibal High School, where she was a basketball star. She graduated in 2003 from Houghton College with a degree in education. Subsequently, she attended State University College at Oswego for further educational studies.

Her former husband, Deputy Jonathan Anna, stated that Amanda knew everyone and everyone in Fair Haven knew Amanda; She was very talkative, friendly and very good with people. Her community was important to her, and she worked hard at everything she did, which helped her succeed. He also stated that she was a great mom to their son.
Friends stated that Amanda was competitive and hard working and that she was always willing to give you a hug.
Amanda is survived by many loving friends and relatives including her mother and step-father, Florence and Frank Wallace; her 4 year old son, Ethan Charles Anna; two step-brothers, Vernon and Craig Wallace; her former husband, Deputy Jonathan Anna; and her fiance, State Trooper Andrew Lodge.
Pray for all who die in the line of duty.
