Jonathan Walsh

1st Lt. Jonathan P. Walsh, age 28, of Cobb, Georgia, died on April 22, 2012, in Paktia, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.

He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 504th Infantry, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Light a candle for Jonathan.

Jonathan graduated from Kennesaw State University and worked in the financial services industry before joining the Army in March 2010. He was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division in August 2011.

Jonathan is survived by many loving friends and relatives, including his parents Paul and Carolyn Walsh; his wife, Debbra; and his son Austin. 

Let us pray that Jonathan Walsh is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
