David was a member of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. He had 18 years of service with the Department.
David had a medical emergency while participating in fitness training. He was leading wildland fire training with inmate firefighters at Camp 14 in Santa Clarita around 11:30 a.m. when he fell ill and died.

He was a resident of Acton and was assigned to Fire Station No. 135 in Lancaster.
Fire Department officials stated that he will be missed and that his death was a huge loss for the entire service.
David is survived by many loving friends and relatives, including his wife, Lisa.
Pray for all who die in the line of duty.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that David Bailey is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
