Joshua Born

Sgt. Joshua A. Born, age 25, of Niceville, Florida, died on February 23, 2012, in Nangarhar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his unit came under small arms fire. 

He was assigned to the 385th Military Police Battalion, 16th Military Police Brigade (Airborne), XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Stewart, Georgia.

He was shot and killed by a man wearing Afghan military or police fatigues during a protest over the burning of Qurans on a U.S. air base.

Josh served with the Army military police and deployed to Afghanistan seven weeks ago. 

Josh is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents and his wife, Megan Born. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Joshua Born is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
