Christopher was a member of the Jackson Parish Volunteer Fire Department - Ward Four Fire Protection District.
He was responding to a call for medical assistance when his vehicle failed to make a curve in the road and struck a ditch embankment and several trees. He was taken to a local hospital and died a short time later.
The road was wet and slick and Christopher may have been speeding in response to the emergency call.
Fire Department officials stated that Chris always went out of his way to help others and was certified in several fire service skills. They also stated that he will always be remembered for his contributions to the Fire Department and that they are proud of him.
Pray for all who die in the line of duty. Pray for all who rush to the aid of others.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Christopher Peterson is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
