Robert Lasso - Law Enforcement - Pennsylvania

Police Officer Robert Lasso, age 31, was shot and killed on August 11, 2011, while responding to a disturbance call in Freemansburg, Pennsylvania. 

During the call he was attacked by two dogs in an alley behind the home. The dogs lived at a home directly behind the home where the complaint originated from. He was attempting to use his Taser to subdue the dogs when their owner appeared and shot him without warning. Officer Lasso suffered a shotgun blast to the face.

The suspect was taken into custody and later charged with homicide.

Robert had been a member of the Freemansburg Borough Police Department for seven years. 

Family members describe Robert as a loving husband, father, son and brother.

Robert is survived by numerous loving family members and friends, including his wife, Jennifer, and two young children. 

Pray for all who die in the line of duty. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Robert Lasso is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
