Nicholas S. Ott

Cpl. Nicholas S. Ott, age 23, of Manchester, New Jersey, died on August 10, 2011, while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. 

He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. 

Nicholas Ott joined the Marine Corps in September 2007 as an infantryman and was assigned to his unit in 2010. It was his first deployment to Afghanistan, but he had previously been deployed overseas.

His awards include two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and three Sea Service Deployment Ribbons.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Nicholas S. Ott is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
