James Wright

British Royal Marine James Wright, age 22, was killed on August 5, 2011, after he was attacked at a checkpoint following a foot patrol in the Nad-e Ali district of Helmand province, Afghanistan.
Saint Simon and Saint Jude, pray for
James.  Pray that he is in Heaven.

James was from Juliet Company, 42 Commando Royal Marines. James joined the service in November 2009.

He was from Weymouth in Dorset, England.

Family members said that James touched the lives of everyone who knew him, and that he was proud to be a Royal Marine. They also said that he had a wonderful sense of humour and that he was kind and considerate of others.

Military officials describe him as a spirited and passionate character, who loved his job, his fellow Marines and his family and leaves behind a massive void in the lives of all those who knew him. Other military officials describe James as a hero who died for his country.

James had been expecting his first child with his partner Shelley. He is also survived by his mother, Sallie and his father, David.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that James Wright is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
